Innovation Center of Sobral
The Federal University of Ceará – Sobral Campus is a technical participant of the Innovation Center of Sobral. In this structure, the Graduate Program in Biotechnology, in partnership with its junior company BiotecSol (comprised of undergraduate and postgraduate students), offers a variety of activities and courses for the general public. This environment provides a meeting space, with an auditorium, lounges, and coworking areas, and contributes to the movement of the local creative economy, thereby fostering entrepreneurship and creativity in Sobral. The Graduate Program in Biotechnology has established a collaborative initiative with the Support Service for Micro and Small Enterprises (SEBRAE) and other higher education institutions in the region. This initiative aims to stimulate the establishment of business incubators and start-ups, thereby enhancing entrepreneurial activity and economic development.
